Iranian scientist Abdol-Hossein Rezaei unveiled an innovative method for the early detection of cancer inspired by the hunting behavior of gray wolves and the behavior of fireflies the power of artificial intelligence and by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence
Rezaei explained in the article he has published that he carried out the method of early detection of cancer by using an intelligent computer diagnostic system which improves the early cancer diagnosis accuracy. Per the scientist, this method emphasize AI potential “to transform healthcare by mimicking complex natural behaviours.”
He created algorithms based on the behaviour of grey wolves and fireflies and he later used them in intelligent cancer diagnostic systems- an approach based on modeling the strategies that both animals use when looking for food or communicating.
The patterns fireflies’ light signals obey – fireflies communicate and attract mates by using bioluminescence – can be used to create diagnostic systems whereas in the case of the wolves, scientists are analyzing data gathered by various biomarkers in the body using the complex strategic coordination techniques used by the wolves to hunt and interact within the pack.
