In a pivotal address to the Iranian Minister of Interior and provincial governors, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, outlined a comprehensive vision for Iran’s domestic and international advancement. He emphasized the vital role of local governance, the nation’s strategic international partnerships, and the urgent necessity of combating corruption at all levels.

During the meeting in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei described governors as “the comprehensive managers of their respective provinces,” urging them to adopt a people-centric approach.

He stressed the importance of direct engagement with the public, saying, “Officials must go among the people, be present at their gatherings, listen patiently to their concerns, even if expressed harshly, and provide the necessary explanations.”

Turning to Iran’s global positioning, the Leader highlighted the nation’s recent affiliations with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS as significant milestones. He called these memberships valuable opportunities that can be leveraged to enhance Iran’s regional and global influence.

“We have many neighboring countries. These very neighbors themselves are one of the opportunities,” he noted, underlining the geopolitical importance of Iran’s location and potential diplomatic reach.

Khamenei also recognized the untapped wealth of Iran’s youthful population, labeling it an “immense capacity” for progress.

“Wherever an institution has recognized and utilized this potential, tangible progress has been achieved,” he added, encouraging leaders to invest in human capital as a pathway to national development.

A major part of the Leader’s message focused on ethical governance and the need to root out corruption. He warned that public officials bear a heightened moral responsibility, stating, “Given the sensitive position of public officials, any involvement in corruption inflicts far greater harm, and its punishment in the sight of God will be significantly more severe.” He called on leaders to set a personal example by remaining “distant from corruption-inducing elements.”

In conclusion, Ayatollah Khamenei’s address presented a dual vision: leveraging international alliances for strategic gains while reinforcing the moral and administrative integrity of Iran’s internal governance. His message served as both a directive and a reminder that Iran’s path to growth lies in a blend of outward diplomacy and inward reform.
