The Time magazine will name on Thursday the US President-elect Donald Trump “Person of the Year”, recognizing him as the individual with the greatest influence on global affairs from the short list that also included Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, US Vice President Kamala Harris, Princess of Wales Catherine Middleton and billionaire Elon Musk, CNN reports.

Trump, who once publicly stated that the magazine would never bestow him the honor, will now get the title for the second time after 2016, when he was named “Person of the Year” following his election victory that made him him 14th US president to receive the recognition, and plans to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the unveiling of the Time’s cover, according to CNN sources familiar with the president-elect’s plans.

Back in 2007, Time magazine’s honor was bestowed upon Russian President Vladimir Putin.
